Rich bars topped with a lush firm ganache. These bars are very chewy and strong in mocha flavor. These bars are very decadent. One small bar is the perfect treat to accompany your cup of tea.
Do you recognize that when you have a recipe in mind, do some testing and end up with something completely different but super delicious? That’s what happened when I made these mocha bars. I’m pretty sure you can relate if you’re a(n amateur) baker like me. When I was still in middle school (highschool), I used to work at a kind-of bakery (don’t ask) called Bakker Bart. We sold these amazing brownie bars with nuts and a delicious ganache on top. I’m not sure if they still sell it (I doubt it) but I was craving those brownies so bad last week so I decided to make my own. Unfortunately, I didn’t plan ahead very well and ended up missing a couple of ingredients. Being the lazy person I am, I decided to work with what I had and see what would happen. Results? Delicious chewy mocha bars with a ganache topping. These bars are more like a chewy cookie than brownies, but who cares what they’re called when they taste delicious? Exactly. No one. Read more
Rich sour cream cake stuffed with strawberry jam and chocolate, topped with fresh strawberries and chocolate chips.
Aaand we’re halfway the week! That means I’ve got a new recipe for you guys. After multiple single serving recipes, I thought it was time for something bigger. So this time, I’m sharing a large coffee cake; suitable for at least 16 people. This coffee cake is made with sour cream, which makes it super moist and fluffy. In addition, this cake has a layer of strawberry and chocolate in between and is topped with plenty of fresh strawberries and chocolate chips. As many chocolate chips as you want!
Creamy, snappy two layer bark with dark coffee chocolate and white chocolate. Topped with hazelnut chunks and mocca beans.
And we’re up for recipe #3 today! Time flies. Monday I shared a chocolate bark for dark, bitter chocolate lovers. However, we all know some chocoholics who like their chocolate somewhat milder and sweeter. And so I’m sharing a mocca bark today. A combination of dark and white chocolate topped with mocca beans and delicious crunchy hazelnuts. My taste testers loved this version the most. And I’m sure you will love it too. It’s creamy, sweet, full of flavor and so delicious.
Buttery almond tube cake swirled with rich coffee cake. This cake is super moist and so easy to make. Top it of with thin almond flakes and mocha beans, and you’re good to go! Definite crowd pleaser.
As I mentioned last time, I’ll be posting about 1 time a week for a little while. Life’s too hectic and I noticed I had to take a step back in order to keep me from a burnout (again). ^^” Additionally, my friend’s getting married soon and friday’s her Turkish bachelorette party. I’m kinda nervous as I’ve never been to one before. No idea what it’s like. Also, I’m not that good with crows in general, but we all know that already, right? Hehehe… However, although it’s scary, it doesn’t mean I shouldn’t do it. Difficult, scary things are usually the things we can learn a lot from. Therefor, I’m going head first and try to experience it without a lot of thinking 🙂 (wish-me-luck) Read more
