Soft sweet rolls filled with homemade vanilla custard and plump raisins. Use your favorite dough or my favorite dough.
One of the grocery stores near our house sells fresh baked goodies. One of those goodies is a custard raisin roll and it’s super delicious. Seriously, I rarely walk by the custard raisin rolls without grabbing one. They’re just so good. Needless to say, I had to make my own. Soft bread rolls, filled with creamy vanilla custard and pieces of sweet plump raisins. Who can resist these? I know, no one. Read more
Super moist vegan banana bread. Filled with plump raisins and crunchy walnuts. You won’t be able to stay away. No eggs, no dairy.
I love eating slightly green bananas. I know, it’s weird. But once a bit of browning starts, I feel like bananas are way too sweet and too strong in flavor. Anyone with me? (I know my friend Liss isn’t lol.) So whenever I buy bananas, I buy just a couple of them and make sure I buy the green ones. Unfortunately, there are days we don’t eat the bananas fast enough and brown speckles start to show. What I do is I set those bananas aside to brown completely. Brown until almost black so I can turn them into delicious banana bread! Now, I already shared my regular banana bread with you guys, but today you get my recipe for vegan banana bread. It’s just as good, contains no eggs or dairy AND has 50% less sugar. I can’t think of any reason why you should’t make this. 😉 Read more
Not into overly-sweet cakes? This is the recipe for you! Walnut, raisins and spices combined in a light and fluffy loaf cake. The fragrance is amazing.
Soooo… I bought a camera for vlogging. Yep, I went there. I’m still not very sure about it, but somehow I just hit that “check-out to order” button without thinking about it. You see, I’m going on a trip to Sweden and Japan(!!!) this summer and I thought it’d be fun to try vlogging instead of writing long (snooze-worthy?) essays like I did for our Seoul trip. I tried to use my DSLR when I was in Seoul, but it was really too bulky and heavy to drag along (let alone to film with). I usually ended up dunking the
rock DSLR in my bf’s bag and only took it out on food important occasions. However, this year I’m being smart and got a light compact camera to bring along. I’ll try to do a few test shots to get used to filming in public, but I hope you guys look forward to my travel videos.
Anyway, a few weeks ago I decided to tried my bf’s colleagues again. As he works at quite a big firm, treating his colleagues means I get to bake a whole lot of different stuff (poor me huh? 😉 ). Whenever I bake for a large group of people, I try to aim for different kinds of baked goodies so all tastes are catered for. One of the things I always try to add to the mix is something that isn’t too sweet. Baked goodies are often on the sweeter side, but there are always a few people who prefer less sweet food (including myself). Read more
Soft oatmeal cookies with a slight crisp on the outside. Stuffed with plump raisins and white chocolate chips. This cookie dough is super quick, because it’s a no-chill recipe!
Last year, I went through a small cookie-frenzy making white chocolate chip cinnamon cookies, hazelnut butter cookies and good ol’ chocolate chip cookies. After that, cookie-palooza kinda died. I magicked quite some stuff from my oven like New York cheesecake, Red Velvet Cupcakes for Two (personal favorite!) and Strawberry and Cream Cake, but no new cookies in my repertoire. Truth be told, I rarely feel urges to bake cookies. I’m really more Read more
Amazing moist and flavorful banana bread stuffed with chopped walnuts and plump raisins.
Hello~~~ this is me crawling out of my cave. Kind of anyway hehe.. It’s been a while since my last post. After the Key Lime Cupcakes, I just couldn’t find time to properly write and bake recipes. A busy schedule, personal thingies and the occasional migraines (the joy xD) are my excuses. So please forgive me 😛 The next few weeks Read more
