I’m a 90’s kid and quite proud of it 😀 On my lazy Sundays, I like to re-watch “old” movies. Cheesy, non-HD quality movies from my childhood. Some of my childhood movies left such an impression that I know them from the top of my head. Others, I find with (long) descriptive google searches :’) Technology now-a-days just makes it super easy to find anything. Really, anything. Anyway, today I’ll be sharing a list of the 90’s movies I watched the past few weeks. I ordered it by year of release, because it was just too difficult to pick a favorite. 😛 Now, these movies aren’t deep meaningful Oscar-winning movies, but they have a special place in my heart. So if you try these, I would love to know if you liked them!
Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)
Robin Williams!! If I HAD to pick a favorite. This one might be it. The funny encounters mixed with the emotions of a truly loving dad.. ♥
Ri¢hie Ri¢h (1994)
This storyline is so bad, but I still love it! It’s a random story about a rich kid bored with his “rich life” and wanting to be “normal”. Also, his family gets betrayed by a greedy employee and he has to save them. Like I said, no shocker story line, but when I was a kid this was the best movie ever haha….
The Next Karate Kid (1994)
My first karate kid movie! I remember I was so scared watching the final fighting scene was when I was little :’) Also, Mr. Miyagi is simply awesome 😀
The Parent Trap (1998)
Classic twin movie. I love Disney movies. Fun fact: At the time, I had no idea that the twins were played by one single actress (Lindsay Lohan) and I was so surprised when I found out the twins didn’t exist. And yes, I actually closed my eyes at the ear-piercing scene :’)
She’s All That (1999)
Such a cheesy nerdy-girl-turns-gorgeous-gets-hot-guy-to-fall-in-love-with-her-movie. But I love it! I mean, heeeellllooo: FREDDY PRINCE JR, anyone? If I ever have to pick a little-girl crush, it’s him! He’s like 10+ years old, but I don’t care haha… ♥_♥ I’ve watched this movie at least 10 times and I’ll keep watching it. Might even watch it again tonight… ^^
Drive Me Crazy (1999)
Melissa Joan Hart and Adrien Grenier. So I don’t really care much for Adrien Gernier, but Melissa is so awesome. I’ll always know her as Sabrina The Teenage Witch (loved that show btw). I love her quirky personality 😀 And yes, this is yet another cheesy romantic oh-so-predictable movie but come on… 90’s classic ♥ Besides, the OST is ‘Crazy’ by Britney Spears, one of my favorite songs (and singer) that year! 😉
Have you seen these movies already? What’s your favorite childhood movie?
